At DALSA we believe that our associates and technology are our strengths. In tune with these strengths, our corporate donations focus on improving the community as well as promoting technological advancement. DALSA supports a variety of worthy causes in the Waterloo Region, where our head office and the majority of our associates are located, helping to make it a better place to live. To promote technological advancement DALSA sponsors a research chair at the University of Waterloo.

Arts

DALSA is an active supporter of the cultural arts in the Waterloo Region, including the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony and Opera. DALSA has sponsored a number of concerts including Madam Butterfly.

Health Care

DALSA's gifts to the Grand River Hospital Oncology Unit have helped make cancer
patients and their families more comfortable

DALSA is the donor of a $100,000 leadership gift to the Grand River Hospital Oncology Unit. Our donation improves patient care and support. We have assisted the hospital purchase several pieces of equipment that make the cancer patients and their families more comfortable.

Research and Technology Advancement

DALSA sponsors a research chair at the University of Waterloo

At DALSA we strongly support research and technological advancement and believe it is collaboration of industries, universities and government organizations that fosters success. Together with the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), DALSA sponsors the DALSA/NSERC Industrial Research Chair in Sensor Technology in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo. The chair is currently held by Dr. Arokia Nathan.
