Brian Doody, Chief Executive Officer

B.Sc., M.A.Sc., P.Eng.
Brian is responsible for providing a clear and strategic long term vision for DALSA, and to provide leadership and to manage the business and affairs of the company. Brian joined DALSA in 1985, taking on roles of progressively increasing responsibility. Prior to his appointment to CEO in September 2007, Brian was Chief Operating Officer since 2006 and President of Digital Imaging since 1999. Previously, he was Vice President Operations from 1997 and Vice President Manufacturing and Engineering from 1986. He has participated in and managed both custom and standard product development projects and was directly involved in establishing many of DALSA's production capabilities.  Brian has participated in evaluating and integrating 6 acquisitions that DALSA has completed from 1999 to present.

Savvas Chamberlain, CTO and Chairman

M.Sc., Ph.D., DEng (Waterloo), FIEEE, FCAE
Savvas founded DALSA in 1980. He was the CEO from its inception until August 2007. Presently at DALSA, as Executive Chairman, he has the duties of the CTO and Chairman of the board.

Under his leadership DALSA has grown world wide from few employees to more than 1000 employees with revenues of $186 million in 2006. During his tenure as CEO he was responsible for corporate strategy, strategic technology direction, long-term planning, and setting the direction of the company’s culture.

He was educated in England and has M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from Southampton University. He is highly regarded as a pioneer in the field of digital imaging. He has published more than 150 papers in scientific journals in the area of CCDs, MOSFET’s and silicon semiconductor devices and has authored and co-authored more than 20 patents.

He has been awarded many honors, some of these include: In 1991 he was elected Fellow of IEEE; in 1993 he received the ITAC/ NSERC award in recognition of his outstanding contribution to academic research in information technology; in 2004 he received the Automated Imaging Association Life Time Achievement award for World Industry Leadership in imaging; and in April 2007 he was awarded the Ontario Premier’s Catalyst award for life time achievement in innovation; in June 2007 was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Engineering Degree by the University of Waterloo for his industrial contributions. In July 2008 he was inducted as a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering.

Jim Roberts, President, DALSA Digital Imaging

B.Sc., M.Math., Ph.D.
Jim is responsible for the overall management and direction of DALSA Digital Imaging, the company’s largest and most profitable division. He has been with DALSA since 1990 and holds a doctorate in electrical engineering. Prior to his appointment to President of DALSA Digital Imaging in September 2007, Jim was Executive Vice President since 2004, and Vice President and General Manager of the Vision for Machines business unit since 2002. As the former Director of Camera R&D, he was one of the primary architects of the company’s high value film inspection vision systems developed for DuPont.

Keith Reuben, President, DALSA Asia-Pacific

B.Sc., M.Eng.
Keith became President of DALSA Asia-Pacific in 2006, and is responsible for expanding the company’s presence and participation in the fast growing markets for imaging products in the region. Keith joined DALSA in 2005 as President of DALSA-Coreco. Prior to joining DALSA, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Coreco, a company he joined in 1987. Keith took on increasingly senior roles in the R&D function before becoming President of the company in 1991. In that role, he turned the company around and ran it profitably since 1993, taking the company public in 1996.

Wajid Ali, Chief Financial Officer

B.A., M.A., M.B.A., C.M.A.
Wajid joined DALSA in 2007 as Chief Financial Officer. He previously headed the finance function for Advanced Micro Devices’ (AMD) second largest business unit. Prior to AMD, Wajid was Group Controller for the Personal Computer Business Unit at ATI Technologies. He has also held several other controllership and operational roles at ATI in their Desktop Business Unit.
